Neagreanu has massive chip-lead at EPT Vienna
Heading into the final table of the PokerStars.net European Poker Tour, Daniel Negreanu has a huge chip-lead over the rest of the remaining 8 players. Only Konstantinos Nanos has over half of Negreanu’s 5,070,000 chip-stack with 3,635,000; the remainder of the field has roughly 9,000,000 chips combined, almost the same amount as both Negreanu and Nanos collectively.
The final 8 players will be battling for the €700,000 payday for first-place, with each final table member guaranteed at least €60,000, thanks to the huge turnout of 587 poker players, each anteing-up the €5,000 entry-fee.
Here is a look at the seating assignments and chip-counts of the final table:
· Seat 1: Luca Cainelli – 1,935,000
· Seat 2: Daniel Negreanu – 5,070,000
· Seat 3: Matthias Lotze – 1,210,000
· Seat 4: Andreas Wiese – 730,000
· Seat 5: Martin Hruby – 975,000
· Seat 6: Konstantinos Nanos – 3,635,000
· Seat 7: Michael Eiler – 2,160,000
· Seat 8: Bruno Launais – 1,785,000
Should Negreanu hold-on and win the tournament he would join Gavin Griffin and Roland de Wolfe as the only Triple Crown winners in poker –EPT, WPT, and WSOP titles—and would also move past Phil Ivey on the all-time leader-board for tournament winnings.
