An online poker player at partypoker who plays under the handle of DukeOfSuffolk used the popular TwoPlusTwo poker forum to highlight his concerns about high stakes games being manipulated by a group of players who colluded to gain an unfair advantage. The poster states that for the last 18 months he has been playing high stake buy-ins of $109 and above and found that a group of players were also entering these high stake tournaments and that their hand history was suspicious.

Reasons For Collusion Allegations

DukeofSuffolk went on to investigate his suspicions and provided exact details that took place during the Wednesday Turbo Highroller on October 18 during which the collusion was detected. The DukeofSuffolk found that in 48 hands with very short stacks, six players teamed up and did not call each other out or go all in. He found that as soon as he was eliminated, the six players quickly wound up in a matter of minutes.

He further went on to investigate and found information that proved he was right. He found that six among the seven conspirators with screen names Sorcian,PowerCarl, domingo661,dimitriax and SciorXxx began playing at PartyPoker from May 2017.This group only played tournaments that had high stakes starting from $109 and they always played together.

DukeofSuffolk reported these instances to “Party_rep”whose plays a role of a mediator between TwoPlusTwo forum posters and PartyPoker.Party_rep in turn assured DukeofSuffolk on October 20th that partypoker’s security department will probe the matter.

DukeofSuffolk again found out on October 20th that the six conspirators had enlisted themselves to take part in another high roller event. On scrutinizing the issue further,DukeofSuffolk found another eight players who were involved in similar cases The screen names of these players are “pesnokviv”, “”, “fausfalser”,”diabolicox900″,”coccopaga090″, “cheflol”,”A10cooming” and “PR3PEzzz”. He suspected these players because four among the eight won the top 4 slots of Turbo Highroller.

Proof of Conspiracy

DukeofSuffolk submitted documents that had the tournament history of suspected players’.He also produced evidence in the form of a text file that had hand histories from the Turbo Highroller final table. He also posted a video in the thread pertaining to two table bubble plays from the same tournament on October 22nd.He continued with another update in which he listed the names of 12 other players who were involved in a similar conspiracy and reported the same to “Party_Rep”the following day.

Tom Waters the Managing Director at PartyPoker confirmed that there was indeed a conspiracy involved and after thorough investigation, they had suspended the accounts of these conspirators.

Waters went on to say that in most of these collusion cases the accusations have usually turned out to be false. He also said that the online poker website has modern fraud control software in place to detect cases of conspiracies. The team atPartyPoker have set up a new email id where players can report any cases of collusion which an expert team will review before taking necessary action.

Once a final investigation is completed into the alleged player collusion, partypoker will make a decision if these accounts will be deactivated for good.
