Phil Hellmuth in talks with Full Tilt Poker

Recently departed UB Poker pro Phil Hellmuth likely has many potential suitors for his next sponsorship deal –Hellmuth’s popularity has probably even drawn the interest of non-poker sponsors—but his latest Tweet is the first time he has announced just who he was meeting with.

On his Twitter account Friday Hellmuth posted the following:

“NOW meeting w Full Tilt Poker!! At “SW Steakhouse” bar at Wynn…Made my biggest bet of last 2 years on LSU (-2)!!!!!!!!”

Well, at least the Tweet didn’t mention Jay-Z, a front row ticket at the Superbowl, or some $3,000 bottle of champagne he is sharing with so-and-so!!!

Although many feel Hellmuth to Full Tilt Poker is a bit of a long-shot due to their well stocked stable of pros, I’m sure Full Tilt Poker will make a legitimate pitch to the “Poker Brat” as he is one of the most recognizable names in poker, if not the most recognizable name.

Phil has also mentioned PokerStars, Bodog, and even the play money poker site Zynga as potential suitors during an interview with Card Player Magazine, where he spoke about Zynga’s potential in the industry should online poker legislation pass in the United States.

Should Hellmuth join Team Full Tilt Poker he would join the likes of Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Annette Obrestad, Chris Ferguson, John Juanda, and Gus Hansen among many other top pros.
