Poland has now added its name to the list of countries taking a stand on online poker one way or the other. Polish lawmakers have drafted legislation that will legalize and regulate online gaming, but for some unknown reason bans online poker!

According to the European Gaming and Betting Association the legislation poses a number of problems with current European Union Laws. Sigrid Ligné, Secretary General of EGBA had this to say on the matter: “We support the Polish government’s intention to join the growing number of countries regulating the online gaming and betting market in the EU. However, the current draft foresees a wide range of obstacles and obligations which will make it highly difficult for EU licensed and regulated operators to apply for a license in Poland. We urge Poland to revise its draft and align it with the requirements of the EU Treaty.”

Some of the controversial provisions include:

* Unfair licensing restrictions and requirements for online poker sites
* All transactions must be done through banks in Poland
* Sites’ servers must be located in Poland

As more and more countries move towards these odd regulations regarding online gaming it will be interesting to see if the EU can work guidelines that all its member countries can agree to. However, as countries keep adding regulations on online poker, players will need to look harder to find Easy Poker Deposit Methods.
