StoxPoker founder resigns amidst allegations of multi-accounting

After a thread was created on the 2+2 forums titled “StoxTrader cheating/multi-accounting discussion” the fit hit the shan for poker professional Nick “StoxTrader” Grudzien. Here are the cliff’s notes of the whole sordid affair:

Grudzien was called out for playing on multiple accounts, being a short-stacker, rat-holer, and worst of all colluding with another player. The thread has reached over 100 pages on 2+2 with some of the biggest names in online poker giving their 2-cents on the topic.

Grudzien admitted to playing on multiple accounts –which breaks both sites Terms & Conditions– and makes the short-stacker/rat-holer allegation true as well –neither of these is considered cheating or break T&C’s of the sites, but are very frowned upon tactics.

As far as collusion, Grudzien has adamantly denied any wrongdoing. In addition to his “StoxTrader” account, he was apparently playing under the screen-name “40putts” on Full Tilt Poker and “knockstiff” on PokerStars, both accounts being notorious short-stackers known for hitting and running. Grudzien also admitted opening a new account on each site in January of this year. Not long after, Grudzien officially resigned from Stox Poker, and supposedly sold off his entire interest in the company.

The collusion accusation is still unproven, but the diligent 2+2 members are poring through hand histories looking for strange play between “40putts” and another player known as “kinetica”. PokerNewsBoy will keep you posted on any new developments involving this scandal.
