Amidst all of the doom and gloom posts by poker players and those of us in the poker media after the Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars shutdown were a few diamonds in the rough that even during the darkest day in online poker history could bring a smile to just about anyone’s face. Here is a look at some of the best comments from “Black Friday”, including a couple of video submissions –the poker world works fast after all!

Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond via Twitter: “Does anyone want to buy a slide?” [Galfond’s dual NYC condos were recently featured on Yahoo thanks to the Slide that takes people from the upper condo to the lower one]

Matthew Waxman via Twitter: “Pretty excited I ran out of excuses not to hang out with my family on Sundays. (now that online poker and ftball are gone)”

Doyle Brunson via Twitter: “Now maybe we will see if these online “superstars” can play real poker. Ante up suckers!”

Here is a video saying farewell to online poker in the US posted on YouTube within minutes of the news hitting: A Tribute to American Poker

The Micros also put out a short episode of Titanic proportions: The Micros Black Friday

And most recently is 2+2 SrslySirius’ latest auto-tune video: Party at the DOJ

So even though this is a bad, bad time to be an online poker player at least some of us are still keeping our sense of humor about things.
