The Flying Dutchman flies high and more tourney results
What a start to 2013 it has been for Team PokerStars Pro Marcel Luske. The longtime poker pro has been MIA since the early days of the poker boom when he was a focus of the television cameras thanks to his impeccable attire, penchant to break into song without warning, and upside down sunglasses, but as the focus shifted to the “Young Guns” Marcel’s fifteen minutes seemed to have passed. However, it now seems that Marcel has once again hit his stride as a poker player, evidenced by his 2013 results, including a pair of wins at the recently concluded EPT Berlin series (in both instances Marcel made a deal during heads-up play).
In Event #21, Marcel defeated a field of 119 players to win the €1,100 PLO tournament:
1. Marcel Luske, Netherlands, Team Pro, €32,000
2. Carsten Joh, Germany, €28,000
3. Jason Lavallee, Canada, €12,700
4. Hermenegildas Zilys, Lithuania, €10,100
5. Filip Szpak, Poland, €7,800
6. Michel Leibgorin, France, €5,770
7. Ramzi Jelassi, Sweden, €4,600
8. Glen Cymbaluk, Canada, €3,460
And in Event #33 Marcel triumphed over a small field of just 21 players to win the €1,100 Seven Card Stud tournament:
1. Marcel Luske, Netherlands, €7,170
2. Leonardo Ebeling, Germany, €8,100
3. Julian Herold, Germany, €3,050
4. Jens Lakemeier, Germany, €2,050
Here is a look at some more tournament results from the past week or so.
