The Friday Wrap: Ayre indicted, FS+G bankrupt and more
It has been quite a busy week in the world of poker, considering another indictment was unsealed, this time against Bodog founder Calvin Ayre; the Epic Poker League’s parent company has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection; and all the while we have the typical poker news like the LA Poker Classic and more news and opinions on Full Tilt Poker.
Another week another VBlog rant from Daniel Negreanu
For the third consecutive week Daniel Negreanu released a video blog on his YouTube Channel, and for the third consecutive week Negreanu let loose on Full Tilt Poker’s owners, although this time it was far less scathing and far shorter.
Unfortunately, Negreanu’s video blog was released just hours before the Epic Poker League filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, something that will surely be covered in the next edition!

Sean Jazayeri wins the LA Poker Classic: Somerville makes Final Table
An absolutely stacked final table was vying for the 2012 LA Poker Classic title, including Jason Somerville, who recently came out to the poker world, making him the first openly gay male poker pro, as well as young superstars Dan Kelly, David Sands, and Noah Schwartz.
Despite the four young pros, considered among the game’s best players, it was an amateur who captured the title: Sean Jazayeri. Here is a look at the final table payouts from the LA Poker Classic Main Event:
* 1st place: Sean Jazayeri – $1,370,240
* 2nd place: David Sands – $806,370
* 3rd place: Dan Kelly – $521,770
* 4th place: Noah Schwartz – $355,750
* 5th place: Jason Burt – $252,980
* 6th place: Jason Somerville – $202,910

Federated Sports +Gaming files for Chapter 11

The move was seen as a foregone conclusion by many in the poker industry, but it’s still disappointing to see yet another well-intentioned company go under.
