This Week in Tournaments: EPT, WSOPC, WPT and more
It was big week for some very big names in the poker world, as two very well-known poker pros captured major tournament wins, with Matt Giannetti winning his second WPT title and Mike Mizrachi triumphing at the WSOPC South Africa tournament. At the same time a local player took home one of the most coveted EPT titles, the EPT Deauville, and some online pros also found themselves in the winner’s circle at PokerStars.
EPT Deauville
The EPT Deauville saw a fairly unknown final table compete for one of the biggest prizes of the year, and in the end it was a local player, Remi Caistagnon who emerged as the victor.

* 2nd place: Walid Bou Habib — €475,000
* 3rd place: Robert Romeo — €275,000
* 4th place: Enrico Rudelitz — €215,000
* 5th place: Franck Kalfon — €165,000
* 6th place: Joseph El Khoury — €125,000
* 7th place: Noel Gaens — €87,800
* 8th place: Jeffrey Hakim — €60,000
WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open
The WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open featured a very tough final table lineup and in the end it was 2011 November Niner and former WPT winner Matt Giannetti who would take home the first place prize. Giannetti outlasted another former WPT Champion in Matt Salsberg, as well as Darryll Fish and his heads-up opponent Lily Kiletto, who just missed becoming the first female winner in the WPT’s long history.

* 1st place: Matt Giannetti – $323,804 (includes $25,500 seat in WPT World Championship)
* 2nd place: Lily Kiletto – $191,880
* 3rd place: Darryll Fish – $125,921

WSOPC South Africa
Lock Poker Pro Mike “The Grinder” Mizrachi bested a field of 116 players in the WSOPC South Africa Main Event that was held at the Emerald Casino, this past week, adding yet another six-figure score to what is shaping-up to be one of the all-time best resumes in tournament poker history. Here is a look at the final table payouts from the event:

* 2nd place – Karl Myburgh $62,590
* 3rd place – Markus “Feurinho” Feurie $44,565
* 4th place – Jarred Solomon $32,372
* 5th place – Kinesh Pather $23,980

* 8th place – Eric Brand $10,907

Kyle Julius, Sam “Squid” Grafton and Chris Brammer win big online
This past Sunday saw a number of top online players score big:
Thanks to a three-way deal Kyle Julius picked-up the biggest scores of the week in the PokerStars Sunday Million even though he finished in second-place. Julius added $199,000 to his online bankroll after navigating through the 7,848 player field.
Sam “sammy_grinder” Grafton took home over $40,000 for his victory in the PokerStars Sunday Brawl, while Chris “NigDawg” Brammer was the outright winner of the PokerStars Bigger $109, pocketing just over $49,000 for his efforts.
