World-Series-of-Poker-July-2010-dealer-tables-300x200The PokerStars PCA may be dominating the headlines in the tournament poker world –soon to be overtaken by the upcoming Aussie Millions—but there are a number of developments on several different fronts including some major changes to the ISPT, the terrific turnout for the Multi-Prize Pool tournament that took place last night at the Dusk Till Dawn poker club in London, and the air dates for the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Huge change to the ISPT structure

The ISPT has decided to nix the idea of holding the online portion of the ISPT tournament at Wembley Stadium, instead deciding to hold the online portion of the event of all places… ONLINE!

Players will now play the opening part of the tournament between February 3rd and May 19th in their own homes. The scheduled start time depends on the player’s location, and the survivors will then assemble in Wembley Stadium to play the live portion of the tournament in late May/early June.
