Paul Volpe wins €10K 6-max turbo at the EPT Grand Final
Paul Volpe started the year on fire and he really hasn’t slowed down all that much. Last week he won Event #33 at the EPT Grand Final tournament series just days after winning a PokerStars SCOOP tournament. There were only 36 entrants in the EPT Grand Final event, but a quick look at the final table payouts shows that this was a pretty tough 6-table tournament!

Marvin Rettenmaier wins Event #36 at the EPT Grand Final
Volpe wasn’t the only big named in the winner’s circle at the tail-end of the EPT Grand Final; one player that joined him was Party Poker Pro Marvin Rettenmaier who triumphed over a 64 player field in the €2,000 NLHE 8-max tournament at the EPT Grand Final.

Brent Hanks wins California State Poker Championship
The $2,000 Main Event at the Cal State Poker Championship attracted a field of 258 players and in the end it was two well-known poker players who battled for the title, 2012 WSOP bracelet winner Brent Hanks and Triple Crown winner Gavin Griffin. Also at the final table was Massachusetts native Jesse martin, a relatively unknown player who has compiled a pretty impressive resume in his 9 years on tour, amassing over $1 million in tournament earnings.

Chris Reslock takes over WSOPC Ring lead
In a 3-day span at the recently concluded WSOPC Harrahs Philadelphia tournament series, WSOPC regular Chris Reslock picked-up his all-time leading 6th and 7th rings, winning Events #6 and #11 at the series. Reslock has now surpassed Alex masek forf the all-timed lead, with several players not all that far behind with five rings: Mark “Pegasus” Smith, Ari Engel, and Kyle Cartwright.
