Week in Tournaments: WSOPC Tunica, EPT Deauville and more
There was plenty of tournament action to report on this past week, with tournaments taking place all over the world in the aftermath of the PokerStars PCA and the Aussie Millions. In the US the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open wrapped-up and players moved on to the WSOPC Tunica tournament series, while in Europe players headed to France and Spain for the EPT Deauville and the Estrellas Poker Tour event in Madrid.
Here is a look at those three tournaments:
WSOPC Tunica Main Event
The WSOPC Tunica Main Event had a very strong turnout, but the final number was probably one that the WSOPC tournament organizers were definitely hoping to avoid. In the end a total of 666 players registered for the tournament, creating a near-$1 million prize-pool, with over $200k set aside from the winner.

EPT Deauville
One of the biggest events on the EPT schedule in the past few years has been the EPT Deauville. This year the tournament saw a significant decrease in attendance, but the tournament still boasted a huge field of 782 players (down from 890 in 2012) and a prize pool of over €3.7 million.
First place will pay €770,000, and a total of 120 players will make the money –Day 3 will start with 159 players still in contention.

PokerStars Estrellas Poker Tour Madrid Main Event
The Estrellas Poker Tour was in Madrid this past week, and a solid turnout of 632 players took part in the €1,000, generating a prize-pool of over $800k. A number of young, talented, Spanish players made the final table including the eventual winner Adrian Mateo Diaz.
