Poker News BoyThe past week in poker started off pretty slow with much of the news revolving around the lead-up to the World Series of Poker final table getting set to resume –which it did on Saturday—but there was also some big news towards the tail end of the week coming out of Full Tilt Poker, Party Poker, and oddly the Partouche Poker Tour –which also had a Main Event that was resuming this weekend.

Both Full Tilt Poker and Party Poker released extensive software upgrades this last week. Party Poker updated its software by adding Rabbit Hunting and Show a Card options, as well as Anonymous heads-up poker tables! Full Tilt Poker’s latest software update saw the site add a slew of Draw Poker variants as well as a 10-Game Mix to their lineup of poker games.

In the crazy story of the week a player was disqualified for cheating at the Partouche Poker Tour Grand Finale. After reviewing video from the early stages of the tournament Partouche Poker Tour officials discovered Ali Tekintamgac had cheated by having supposed bloggers/reporters signal him other players’ hole cards! The entire story will likely shake up the way major poker tournaments are run from here on out.

This week also saw the WSOP and Jack Links Beef Jerky extend their sponsorship deal and Tony Hachem won his second ANZPT Player of the Year award.
