Where to watch the 2012 WSOP Final Table live

For the second consecutive year the World Series of Poker and ESPN will be bringing you all the action, every single hand, of the Main Event final table live. The final table will play out on Monday October 29, 2012 at 8 PM EST on ESPN2 or online at www.ESPN.go/WatchESPN. When the tournament reaches three-handed play the remaining players will call it a night before returning on Tuesday October 30, 2012 to crown the 2012 WSOP Main Event Champion. Tuesday night’s action will be broadcast live on ESPN as well as online beginning at 9 PM EST.

Here is a look at the October Nine that will be competing for the $8.5 million first-place prize-money:

* Seat 1 – Russell Thomas with 24,800,000 chips

Thomas is 24 years old and hails from Hartford, Connecticut. Thomas is one of many cash game pros at the WSOP Main Event final table, and his play leading up to the final table has made him one of the odds on favorites.

* Seat 2 – Jacob Balsinger with 13,115,000 chips

Balsinger is 21 years old and resides in Tempe, Arizona. Should he win, Balsinger will become the youngest WSOP Main Event winner in history, besting Joe Cada’s record by mere months.

* Seat 3 – Jeremy Ausmus with 9,805,000 chips

Ausmus is a 32 year old professional poker player who is currently living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ausmus came out of nowhere at the 2012 WSOP, with the Main Event marking his ninth cash of the tournament series –and obviously the most noteworthy.

* Seat 4 – Steven Gee with 16,860,000 chips

Gee is the oldest final table competitor at 57, and is from Sacramento, California. Gee has been playing poker for decades, and came back to the game after a long absence during the poker boom. Since his return Gee has won a WSOP bracelet, and now finds himself on poker’s biggest stage.

* Seat 5 – Greg Merson with 28,725,000 chips

Merson is one of the favorites as the 24 year-old from Laurel, Maryland is one of the most accomplished players at the table. Merson may not be well-known to the masses, but the online grinder is a known commodity among poker players. Look for his cheering section to be the most notable.

* Seat 6 – Jesse Sylvia with 43,875,000 chips

The chip-leader heading into the final table, and one of the favorites, Sylvia is a 26 year-old poker pro from Las Vegas, Nevada. Sylvia is a former online player who has been working on his live game post-Black Friday.

* Seat 7 – Robert Salaburu with 15,155,000 chips

The 27 year-old from San Antonio, Texas is the wild card at the final table, but Salaburu will need to make some early headway if he wants to be this year’s Pius Heinz.

* Seat 8 – Andras Koroknai with 29,375,000 chips

The lone foreigner at the final table will be the 30 year-old hailing from Debrecen, Hungary, Andras Koroknai. Koroknai isn’t in unfamiliar territory, having won the 2010 LA Poker Classic.

* Seat 9 – Michael Esposito with 16,260,000 chips

An East Coast grinder, Esposito is 44 years old and lives in Seaford, New York. As the only non-professional poker player at the table (I’d call him a semi-pro) Esposito and his amateur status may become a a favorite storyline among the fans as the final table gets progresses.
