WPT Legends of Poker final table set
After four days of poker the final table of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Legends of Poker Main Event is now set, with three well-known poker players trying to chase down the overwhelming chip-leader Josh Hale. Hale racked-up an impressive 7.3 million chips by the end of play on Tuesday, more than double the next closest player, two-time WSOP Bracelet winner Greg “FBT” Mueller.
Despite his sizable lead, Hale has to deal with Mueller, former WPT Champion Ali Eslami, as well as two short-stacks with some serious poker chops in the forms of Jeff Madsen and Max Steinberg. The final table lineup is rounded out by the fairly unknown Raouf Malek, who is currently sitting in third place with just over 3 million chips.
Hale is a remarkable story considering he does not have a single recorded cash on his tournament resume according to thehendonmob.com database.
Here is a look at the final table seating assignments and chip counts from the www.worldpokertour.com website:
* Seat 1: Max Steinberg – 1,020,000 (17 bb)
* Seat 2: Jeff Madsen – 1,030,000 (17 bb)
* Seat 3: Raouf Malek – 3,130,000 (52 bb)
* Seat 4: Greg Mueller – 3,490,000 (58 bb)
* Seat 5: Josh Hale – 7,325,000 (122 bb) – Button
* Seat 6: Ali Eslami – 2,900,000 (48 bb)
18 players began Day 4 of the WPT Legends of Poker, and while the final table features a very tough lineup, there were several other big names that fell by the wayside on Tuesday including 2010 November Niner Joseph Cheong, who was the first player eliminated on Tuesday. Here is a look at the complete list of eliminations from Tuesday, once again courtesy of the WPT website:
7. Jim Willerson – $60,400
8. Stephan Graner – $49,800

When the final table reconvenes at 4 PM local time (7 PM on the East Coast) the remaining players will find themselves about halfway through Level 28 with the blinds at 30,000/60,000 with a 10,000 chip ante.
The difference between 6th place and 1st place is a staggering $425,000, as the first player eliminated will receive just over $75,000 while the winner of the tournament will pocket $500,000.
