There was a lot of tournament action going on at the WSOP yesterday, and Monday has been setup to be one of the most interesting days thus far at the 2012 WSOP. In Event #31 we have Joe Cada out in front of the final 19 players with a female player lurking in his shadows. In event #32 we have Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey making the final 15 of the $10k HORSE tournament.

Joe Cada leads the final 19 in Event #31

Remember 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion Joe Cada? Cada looked to be a promising player in the poker world (as the youngest ever Main Event Champion) but his career has been filled with ups and downs since his historic win (mainly downs), but now Cada has a chance at some redemption as he leads the final 19 players heading into the final day of Event Event #31, a $1,500 NLHE tournament.

Joining Cada near the top of the leader-board is Cherish Andrews, who is looking to get the ladies back into the win column for the first time since 2008. Andrews is currently in 4th place, and one of four players to break the million-chip-mark at the end of Day 2.

Here are the Top 10 chip-counts heading into Day 3:

1. Joe Cada – 1,869,000

Phil Ivey makes a fourth Day 3

If you thought Phil Ivey had used up all of his run-good you were very mistaken. Ivey is in contention for his fourth final table of the 2012 WSOP, as he is amongst the final 15 players in the $10k HORSE event. Ivey is joined by the other Phil (Hellmuth) who is looking for a second WSOP bracelet in 2012 and #13 overall.

Other players still in the hunt include Scott Clements, chip-leader and 2012 bracelet winner John Monnette, Dan Kelly, John Hennigan, Abe Mosseri, Matt Waxman, David Baker and David Bach.
