WSOP Omaha 8 Championship passes money bubble
With the money bubble set to burst with just 27 players remaining, there were 16,329 reasons for wanting make it that far in the $10,000 buy-in tournament; $16,329 that is. So with more than a $26,000 difference on the line it was Jason Mercier who would watch Dan Kelly take one on the chin and end the tournament in 28th place, for a loss of -$10,000, while Mercier would be eliminated a few hands later and collect his $16,329 prize.
The tournament would end Day 2 with just 22 players remaining in the hunt for the WSOP bracelet and the $465,216 first-place prize, with Guillame Rivet way out in front of the rest of the field, sitting on over 800,000 chips, while his nearest competitor, Alessio Isaia of Italy, ended the day with a chip-count of 535,000.

9. Brendan Taylor — 319,000
10. Kirill Gerasimov — 306,000
Other notable players still in contention include George Lind III, Shaun Deeb, Freddy Deeb, Josh Arieh, and Eric Buchman.
