WSOPC National Championship freeroll underway
On Friday the season-ending $1 million National Championship freeroll got underway at Caesar’s Palace where 100 qualifiers from the 2010-2011 season of the World Series of Poker Circuit Series were invited to compete for the first ever WSOP bracelet that will be awarded on the WSOP Circuit Series, as well as for a piece of the $1 million prize-pool.
Among the players who have won their way into the event over the past season of the WSOPC were some notable names, including, Dwyte Pilgrim, La Sengphet, David “doc” Sands, Allen “chainsaw” Kessler, Tim West, Allie Prescott, Curt Kohlberg, Steve Zolotow, Kyle Cartwright, Bernard Lee, Andy Frankenberger, Ali Eslami, Shannon Schorr, and Chris Klodnicki.
By the end of Day 1 only 35 players remained in the hunt for the WSOPC bracelet and $300,000 that will be awarded to the winner of the tournament, with La Sengphet on top of the leader-board. The only other woman in the field, Traci Brown, will join Sengphet on Day 2 but finds herself in the bottom third of the chip-counts.

4. Shiva Dudani — 96,000
5. Charles Moore — 95,100
6. Curt Kohlberg — 94,600
7. Stanley Quinn — 92,600

9. Doug Carli — 72,800
10. Bernard Lee — 70,900
