Poker Maximus tournament series begins today
The Merge Gaming Network will kick-off its first-ever major tournament series today, when it debuts the Poker Maximus tournament series; a 22-day long event featuring a mid-blowing 70 tournaments. All told the Poker Maximus series will award players with at least $1.5 million in guaranteed prize-money, including two $200,000 guaranteed tournaments on the final day of the series.
The opening day of the Poker Maximus tournament series has a little bit of everything, showing players just what they can expect over the next three weeks: Merge Gaming players, which include the flagship sites of Carbon Poker and Lock Poker, will find a $10, a $30, a $100, and a $200 event on the Sunday March 4th schedule:
* Sun, Mar 4th — Event #1: $7,500 Nlh Freezeout $10+1
* Sun, Mar 4th — Event #2: $150,000 Nlh Freezeout $100+9
* Sun, Mar 4th — Event #3: $15,000 Nlh Freezeout $30+3
* Sun, Mar 4th — Event #4: $75,000 High Roller $200+15
Players taking part in the series will also be eligible for the Player of the Series race, which will see the Top 3 finishers on the leader-board receive special prizes from the Merge Gaming Network. At least two Poker Maximus events will be held every day, with upwards of four events taking place on Sundays.
The Merge Gaming Network is trying to cement its place as the #1 online poker site for US players, and the Poker Maximus series should be a very big part of that. The poker network is currently the 8th most heavily trafficked online poker network/room in the world, and is by far the largest to offering games to US players.
