Victor Chandler Poker rebranded to BetVictor

Founded in the 1940’s in Great Britain, Victor Chandler has become a name that is virtually synonymous with sports-betting in the UK. However, even their powerful brand hasn’t seemed to be able to crack the upper echelon of online gaming sites, which may be the reason that Victor Chandler announced it would be rebranding its entire operation, now known as BetVictor.

Virtually everything but the brand will remain the same, and the BetVictor site is now available as a poker download or by upgrading your current Victor Chandler poker software. The Grandson and namesake of the company’s founder, Victor Chandler (the current Chairman of Victor Chandler), had this to say regarding the rebranding of the sports-betting and gaming giant:

“As a company we are always innovating and moving forward, as well as extending our brand across new territories. The UK will continue to be the fulcrum of our international business and it makes perfect sense that the same brand name is used here as in foreign territories.

“I personally guarantee that we will continue to provide our superb range of betting opportunities across a comprehensive range of sporting events.”

To kick-off the new name, BetVictor will be running a number of promotions and prize giveaways in the coming days. Among the promotions are countless freeroll poker tournaments, and merchandise giveaway where players can claim numerous prizes sporting the now-defunct Victor Chandler logo. The Great Merchandise Giveaway as it is being called begins on January 16, 2012.

Here is a look at the freerolls that were announced by BetVictor today:

Two Decks One Cup Freeroll (this name should illicit a giggle from most of the men):

Over the next month, January 16 – February 15, BetVictor will be running a daily Freeroll at 21:45 CET where the top three finishers will receive two decks of 100% plastic Victor Chandler Poker playing cards and a Victor Chandler Poker coffee mug. The cost of entry is a single VIP Point.

Home Games Freeroll:

BetVictor will also be running a Home Games Freeroll over the next month, January 16 – February 15, at 20:45 CET. The winner of the Home Games Freeroll will receive a pretty sweet prize package that includes a Victor Chandler Poker chip set, with two decks of VC Poker 100% plastic playing cards, 5 Dice, and an aluminum carrying case. Entry is just 10 VIP points.

Sterling Silver Freeroll:

The winner of this freeroll will receive a VC Poker card protector made of Solid Silver. Only 200 of these card protectors were produced. The runner-up and third-place finishers will receive Bronze card protectors. These tournaments will also run daily from January 16 – February 15 at 21:15 CET. Entry is set at 25 VIP Points.
